Kashid Beach Information
Kashid Beach
Situated along the shores of the Arabian Sea, Kashid beach is located around 30 km's from Alibaug and 135km from Mumbai on the Alibag-Murud road.
Kashid is infamous for its white sands, blue seas, lush green mountains, water-logged paddy fields and numerous rivulets. Kashid has a 3 km stretch of beach tucked in between two rocky hillocks. Surfing is doable on this beach as the waves and tides are generally quite high (avoidable in the monsoon season). The beach has white sand but be cautious as parts of the beach are rocky and host corals. A strong wind blows across the beach in the late afternoons making it a semi-ideal spot to practice some traction kiting. This beach is very silent and secluded on weekdays and popular for local tourists on the weekends.
The village of Murud lies further south of Kashid, where two forts stand tall in the middle of the ocean.
